The People Now There is something to be said for any group of individuals who throw their cards in and move towards a unified goal. Quoted as Seattle's only "post-progressive, hardcore, melodic attack-fusion," (Redefine Magazine), The People Now combine musical genres and cross the borders of ideas to focus our creative intention into a single sonic point: music, the one thing common in the common man, as the platform for communal awareness, intellectual compassion, and personal evolution towards positive change. On West Coast tours, PacNW Festivals, and international markets online, The People Now offer a totally unique music and message where the fans become a part of the movement - After all, without "You," there can be no "We."

Savoring Yesterday Savoring yesterday is a band that doesn’t look at genre. We simply make music we like to listen to. Our goal was to make music that will satisfy every one’s need in the band. Whether it is death metal or acoustic, we merge the styles that everyone listens to and make music we can truly be proud of. The name savoring yesterday comes from the rebirth of a previous project. It’s about holding on to the love for music we all shared before the bands break up. Now more determined than ever, we hope to make our dreams in music come true by making music that can we believe others will love listening to as much as we love playing it.

Lonesome Rhodes
THE STRANGER (SEATTLE)
“Maybe you saw the feature in last weeks paper? The one about a little local band called Fleet Foxes? Well, they’re just one band flying the folk banner in Seattle’s music community – Lonesome Rhodes & the Good Company also find inspiration in artists like Van Morrison and the Band.”
- Megan Seling

SEATTLE WEEKLY
“They (Lonesome & Co.) craft the kind of slow-drag country-folk Neil Young is famous for, which ends up sounding like a very polished Palace Brothers.”
- Brian J Barr

SEATTLE SOUND MAGAZINE (4/4 STARS (review of LP))
“Rhodes (Brian Pake) is at his best when he’s at his darkest – and his lowest. His melancholy whispering and dusty, Rocky Votolato-sounding rasp are stirring.”

My New Vice My New Vice uses an addictive mix of influences to create something that has been sorely missing from the music industry in recent years—actual hard driving rock n roll. If Turbonegro, Motorhead, and old delta blues had a threesome that resulted in a crazy baby, it would sound like My New Vice.

“My New Vice is the baddest ass killer super cool punk rock blues band from Hell and I love it!” – Dave Dictor, founding father of American hardcore, lead singer of MDC and writer for Maximum Rock n RollMagazine.

Sugarcane Over the past couple years Sugarcane has evolved into one of the best Bluegrass Rock bands on the West Coast and is showing no signs of slowing down. A mix of Country, Carribean, Blues and Bluegrass; the band can move both ass and mind. Sugarcane is led by the soulful, powerful, and charismatic voice and songs of Russel James. An Indiana grown songwriting prodigy who has relentlessly toured and played all over the United States for the last 17 years. "BigE", as he is lovingly referred as, also gives the band a Country Gentleman touch. On the drum set is the road-tested soul and expertise of Mr.Josh Biggs, a talented and song sensitive drummer who has played with the likes of the Neville Bros and Higher Ground to name a few. On the Bass is the uber-talented Stefan Andrews. Reminiscient of Rick Danko but with a bluegrass flair. Stefan has a great voice and is also a principal songwriter for the group. Next, on Mandolin, is D. Sting. A powerful individual and strong player whose personality gives the band a comedic and entertaining edge. Derek is truly one of a kind. Rounding out the band is Noah Bell on Lead Guitar. Hailing from Springfield, Missouri, Noah is by far one Portland's finest guitarists and continues to amaze audiences with his skill and technical prowess whether with the Slide, Acoustic, or one of his many Telecasters. To sum up, Sugarcane is a fine group of gentlemen and a damn good band. Come see and hear for yourself.

Local quintet Sugarcane String Band is as sweet as advertised, turning out porch-friendly blues and bluegrass with ease on most recent album Soulgrass and in concert. Performing mostly Americana with occasional fits of Caribbean-infused country, these guys should be invited to every summertime house party in Portland. Let’s just say if I were a big beer company looking to sell my refreshing product, I’d look no further for a band that encapsulates warm-weather tomfoolery and poolside jammin’.

If I Were A Gladiator If I Were A Gladiator - the name says it all. Adventurous, epic, dramatic - their songs can take you through myriad emotions within minutes, caressing you one moment with introspective lyrics, then bashing your head against the wall with a deadly riff before you know what hit you. The backbone of the band is a crushing rhythm section full of massive twin-guitar assaults and groovy truckin' doublebass drumming, topped with the melodies that can only be described as soaring, courtesy of first-class metal diva Emily Ruth. Fans of classic metal with plenty of bona fide guitar heroism will not be disappointed!

I Never Heard The Bullet I Never Heard the Bullet is a five piece rock ensemble from Portland, Oregon that has been working to create a truly unique sound best described as hook-driven, soulful rock ‘n roll and isn’t afraid to incorporate melodic hardcore breakdowns. Utilizing two guitars and various keyboard/synth textures, the result is sonically dense, yet open enough to feature the soulful R & B hooks of Motaz Hussein. Melodic guitar playing from Jesse Swain and Dustyn Fleming constantly keeps motion in the music, while Tabor
Brady’s smart bass playing creates interesting harmonic functions and low end counter-melodies. Add the powerful rhythmic framework created by Kaycee Kay and the resulting sound is truly something to behold.

Slow the Impact SLOWtheIMPACT, while having created a sound that is clearly identifiable, haves remained non-genre-specific in all of their music. With touches of hard rock, pop, punk and even some bits of swing, jazz and 80's "whatever-wave" all blending together, they've created a style all their own and stand as the new definition of the Portland "alternative" sound.

CAPTAIN SQUEEGEE Since 2002, Captain Squeegee has been bringing energetic, intelligent music to Phoenix and making a name for themselves as one of Arizona’s premier live acts. After spending their first three years as a ska band, this septet rearranged their lineup and took a more progressive approach to music, keeping the horns but completely changing their sound. With the release of their debut full-length album “Nothing vs Everything” in July 2008, the band started attracting more attention at home and abroad, getting unanimously positive album reviews and the “Best Album of 2008” award from French webzine Progressia. Hundreds of performances throughout the Southwest have refined Captain Squeegee’s impressive live show, and appearances at Warped Tour and various other music festivals have shown that they can deliver under pressure. Their newest music video, “The Puzzle,” has also been catching the eyes of Arizona’s art scene, and has received excellent reviews internationally. Keep an eye on this band, because they won’t stay local for long.
